Who we are
PTC Specialised Vehicles was founded in Johannesburg in 2001 to design, engineer and build specialised vehicles. Today the business covers the whole life of an armoured vehicle. We design and manufacture, hire and lease, sell new and used, up-armour vehicles clients already own, and keep fleets running with mobile repair teams.
Who we work with
Our clients have included government officials and departments, business leaders, international corporations, risk management companies and high-net-worth individuals. We also equip security teams, police, relief organisations, mining operations and military units.
Our hire fleet operates in more than 20 countries, and we have supplied clients across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and North America.
Research and development
We keep investing in how our vehicles are engineered: the platforms themselves, the armour systems and protective materials inside them, configurations for specific missions, and the communication and vehicle management technology they carry. Testing and feedback from the clients who use them shape what we build next.
